We are looking for reliable, dedicated Bookkeeping ninja to help manage and streamline the financial success of our quickly-growing company. This isn’t your typical accounting or bookkeeping position - you’ll have the opportunity to be at the center of success and help rehaul the way that one of Michigan’s fastest growing private companies manages and monitors their finances.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare monthly expense reports, budgets, payroll and finances for our different businesses
  • Monitor all spending, in and out, to ensure that we are being as smart and efficient as possible
  • Continuously look for ways to improve spending and streamline financial processes
  • Create policies and procedures around our finances, annual budgets and day-to-day spending
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvement projects throughout the accounting department
  • Help with miscellaneous administrative activities when necessary, including events and office coordination tasks

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in Quickbooks and MS Office Suite (specifically Excel). Familiarity with Bamboo HR is a plus.
  • 5+ years of accounting / bookkeeping experience, including experience working in payroll services, accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger
  • Strong familiarity with data entry, record keeping and tax worksheets
  • Positive communication skills, especially phone communication
  • Passion for improving financial systems and streamlining financial processes
  • Must have high-integrity, be trustworthy and reliable
  • Is adaptable in fast-moving environments, and can learn and adjust to changes quickly
