As a member of the senior management team, our COO will work alongside our CEO to oversee product development, build an internal infrastructure that can sustain rapid growth, and have ultimate ownership on all internal operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop & Execute Operations Plan

  • Work alongside the CEO and executive team to define company strategy and select which business opportunities to pursue.
  • Engineer and implement improved operational systems company-wide to ensure continuous improvement without killing innovation.
  • Implement processes, infrastructure and effective management practices to enable and sustain our continual growth and expansion.
  • Set annual goals and build an organizational structure that supports our mission. Champion goal alignment across the organization.
  • Identify organization’s key performance indicators (KPIs), develop project plans to achieve goals, and monitor organization’s performance.
  • Anticipate operational needs and identify growth opportunities. Take the lead shepherding special projects and key initiatives.
  • Continually refine business model using a data-driven approach to gauge impact, monitor performance metrics and create efficiencies.
  • Develop tools and make sure systems are proper utilized to support product development and internal communications.

• Manage Teams & Projects

  • Manage department leaders to drive excellence, results & maintain quality while minimizing risk.
  • Maintain a global vision of all workflows within product development and hold ultimate responsibility for successful project management.
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to all team leaders.
  • Manage individual performance by creating employee incentives, establishing KPIs for all individuals, and implementing performance reviews.
  • Oversee P&L Performance
  • Oversee all financial strategy, management, and compliance. Keep CEO and leadership team informed, with ready access to necessary reports, data and performance metrics.
  • Design operating budget and manage expenses.


Experience Guidelines

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in senior leadership role.
• At least 2 years of experience of successfully managing a multi-faceted technology business is a must.
• Experience developing systems and workflows to support a growing organization.
• Experience leading a team of employees with demonstrated achievement of ambitious goals.
• Demonstrated success in project management of complicated work streams to successful implementation.
• Experience in strategy development and financial management; strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Results-oriented, pays high attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Is proactive, team-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to make decisions in the face of uncertainty.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.
• Proficient with Salesforce (a major plus).
• Experience working with the Agile project management framework is preferred.
